Everything creates the art, the sea, sound, smell, land and weather they all play an emphasis in creating the work and it is not about a singular component,not a singular artist, not a singular response, not a singular narrative but a singular concept of simple embracing the landscape.

My art represents a personal interest within the processes of painting and response towards the landscape in which I feel so deeply connected to. I want to capture the landscape at its most transient of states and in doing so look into the position of studio practice (as a place to create the works) and the relationship it has with site responsive work. The nature of my practice touches upon an experience within the landscape, encountering earths’ most elemental materials. I want to ‘capture’ an experience within nature and in doing so I believe I must get out into the landscape and experience it. The landscape has always been a source of inspiration for me and growing up in Pembrokeshire (South West Wales) I have found myself immersed within it.
